Improvements Over Last Year
Last year was our first year for CPUG CON EUROPE and we took the
opportunity to learn as much as we could. We took all your
suggestions and we're implementing almost every one of them. This year, we'll get the
benefit of all these improvements:
Big Picture:
- Lengthen Conference to Three Days
- Leave Early on the Last Afternoon
- Include Mentors Dinner in Registration Fee
Presentations:
- Make The First Break Longer (The Animals Move Slowly in the
Morning)
- Some Speakers Need More Time (30, 60, 90 and 120 Minute Timeslots
Available)
- Allow Attendees to Evaluate Quality of Speakers and Presentations
- Speakers Must Bring Printouts of Slides
- Speakers Must Provide PowerPoint Presentation to Website
- Maybe Repeat Some Presentations?
- State the Skill Level of Each Presentation
- Parallel Tracks for Different Skill Levels?
- Rename "Birds of a Feather" As It Doesn’t Translate Well
Registration and Payment:
- Make Registration and Payment Easier
- Provide Better Instructions for Manual Payments Such As with a Wire
Transfer.
- Improve Payment Form
- Bring Pre-Printed Receipts for Registrations, Books, etc.
Facilities:
- Added Parking Information to Web Site
- Provide Power to Laptops
