Bio - Martín Hoz
Martín Hoz is Systems Engineering Manager, Latin America,
with Fortinet. Martín
has been playing with information security and the Internet for more
than fifteen years. He wrote his first theoretical virus in
May 1993, got his first internet account in October of the same
year. He likes theoretical security and holds several industry
certifications.
Through his career, he has been systems administrator, security
consultant and systems engineer. He spent almost 6 years (from
Feb 2001 to Jan 2007) at Check Point Software Technologies, where
among other things developed
Object
Filler and Object Dumper, tools for enhancing the configuration
management experience and translating configurations from other
vendors to Check Point. Since January 2007 he is Systems
Engineering Manager for Latin America at Fortinet. A Slackware
Linux and Open BSD technology fan, Martín enjoys reading, music,
photography, martial arts, programming and running as hobbies.
